Our esophagus is an important of our body, and surely you agree as without it we wouldn’t have any conduit between our mouths and our stomachs and eating is how we provide ourselves with the nourishment we need. If you have a perfectly well functioning esophagus, be thankful for that! If you’re a child who’s enjoying the gift of youth and have your whole life ahead of you, be thankful for that too! But if you’re the parent of a child who has gastrointestinal reflux disease and can’t swallow GERD medication tablets then Nexium sachets are going to be just what you need.
Nexium reduces stomach acid, which is an equally important part of the food digestion and nutrient providing process. You want to have it, but you don’t want to have so much of it that it ends up moving up from the stomach and the burning and irritating the lining of the esophagus. That can be painful, and as we all know most kids don’t tolerate pain well at all. For that matter, a lot of grown ups can’t handle pain well either.
But that’s not the point here, what the real point here is that if you have a child with GERD or generalized esophageal reflux disorder and swallowing tablets isn’t working for them then Nexium granules can be the best fix for administering the needed medication. Nexium sachets contain the powdered medication, and so what you do is mix the medication with non-carbonated water to create an oral suspension that is easy for them to swallow and get relief from acid reflux for kids.
All of which is important, because the long term effects of untreated GERD are quite serious. You really don’t hear of kids getting ulcers – and that’s the way it should be – but this can even be a possibility if acid reflux disorder for kids is left to do its thing. Another possible and more likely development and is esophageal bleeding, which usually shows itself with blood seen in bowel movements. A worst-case scenario would be strictures, which are scars along the esophageal walls that make swallowing painful and difficult.
Enough said about all of that, I’m sure. If a child can’t swallow acid reflux tablets, then Nexium sachets should be the alternative most of the time.
Nexium granules dissolve into water quickly, making this oral solution for GERD treatment in children very easy to prepare. The medication is to be used, but you should also try to alter the child’s diet if certain foods seem to be triggers for their GERD. Granted that’s not easily done much of the time, and we all know how kids can be stubborn when it comes to continuing with what they like or ‘tastes good’ – even if it’s bad for them.
Being aware of foods that are bad for GERD is good information to be prepared with, and maybe even more so if you’re the one who’s 100% in control of what’s on your kids plate every day. Another consideration is that there are studies indicating that the use of probiotics to increase gut flora can help control GERD for kids. You’re excused if you’ve never heard of Lactobacillus reuteri before, but this probiotic reduced gas, sped up stomach emptying and diminished regurgitation by 75%. On their own, no Nexium sachets in the mix
And the good news with that is that adding probiotics to foods is easy, and have you ever met a kid who didn’t like fruit yogurt? Many yogurts are rich with probiotics and so this may be something for you to take advantage of to see to it your child has better gut flora to manage GERD. The same reason probiotics are good for IBS make them good for GERD. They’re just all-around good for your stomach in general!
The last mention in this section will be for Prokinetics. These are formulations that promote the stomach emptying more quickly. Use of prokinetics along with Nexium sachets may provide better relief for GERD for children, as excess stomach acid is expelled more quickly and there’s less chance of it burning or irritating the esophagus. Cisapride is one of the more common Prokinetics that a physician may recommend be used in conjunction with Nexium sachets.
Since kids need food to survive and therefore cannot stop eating anytime soon, and if what goes down tends to come back up too often with your kid, then ordering Nexium online from Canada and putting Nexium sachets to work as an easier way to treat acid reflux may be a very good idea.
