  • Products must be identical and in stock at the time of placing an order with a licensed mail order pharmacy. They must be an online Canadian pharmacy with an address in Canada.
  • Products must be authentic in brand and size (same manufacturer, same country of manufacture, same pack size, same strength and same quantity).
  • Products must be new. We cannot match the price of any used, short expiry or expired product.
  • Price match can only be issued over the phone with our customer service team. Please note at this time we cannot offer price matching for the products Ozempic or Saxenda.
What is a Generic Drug?

A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use. Before generics become available on the market, the generic company must prove it has the same active ingredients as the brand-name drug and works in the same way and in the same amount of time in the body.

The only differences between generics and their brand-name counterparts is that generics are less expensive and may look slightly different (eg. different shape or color), as trademarks laws prevent a generic from looking exactly like the brand-name drug.

Generics are less expensive because generic manufacturers don't have to invest large sums of money to develop a drug. When the brand-name patent expires, generic companies can manufacture a copy of the brand-name and sell it at a substantial discount.

Description

Skyla is an intrauterine device (IUD) that contains progestin.

Skyla IUD duration: Skyla is used as a birth control method, preventing pregnancy for up to 3 years.

Directions

Skyla will be inserted by a trained healthcare professional. Any questions or concerns may be referred to your doctor.

Ingredients

The active ingredient in Skyla is levonorgestrel. Inactive ingredients include silicone, polyethylene, silver, silica, barium sulfate, and iron oxide.

Skyla’s components are not manufactured with natural rubber latex.

  • Pregnancy or pregnancy is suspected
  • For emergency contraception
  • Congenital or acquired uterine problems that cause changes in the uterine cavity
  • Acute pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) or a history of PID unless there has been a subsequent intrauterine pregnancy
  • Postpartum endometritis or infected abortion in the last 3 months
  • Uterine or cervical cancer or if they are suspected
  • Breast cancer or other cancer that is sensitive to progestin or if they are suspected

    • Your allergies
    • Your current health conditions
    • Your past medical history
    • Your pregnancy or breastfeeding status
  • Skyla should be removed once pregnancy is detected. Getting pregnant with Liletta in place causes an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy, pregnancy loss, septic abortion, and premature labor and delivery.
  • Infections have occurred after Skyla insertion.
  • Your PID risk should be considered before Skyla insertion.
  • Uterine perforation that may require surgery can occur, which can decrease the contraceptive effects of Skyla.
  • Partial or complete expulsion of Skyla can go unnoticed, which can result in loss of contraceptive effects.
  • Evaluation of any enlarged ovarian follicles or cysts should be completed.
  • Menstrual changes can occur.
  • Under certain conditions, MRIs can be safely performed with Skyla. Before you have any procedures or diagnostics tests, be sure to inform your doctor that you are on Skyla IUD.

Side Effects

Skyla IUD side effects include menstrual changes, vulvar and vaginal inflammation, abdominal pain, pelvic pain, acne, headaches, migraines, ovarian cysts, and uterine spasms. Other side effects can also occur. Immediately inform your doctor of any bothersome or persistent side effects.
