It is recommended that you read the patient information and instructions for use that come with your prescription. Ryaltris should be used as directed by your doctor. Any questions or concerns about the medication may be referred to your doctor or pharmacist.
Before you use Ryaltris, shake the bottle well.
You’ll need to prime the pump before you use Ryaltris for the first time or if you have not used Ryaltris in the past 14 days. Start by pointing the tip away from your eyes and face. Then, quickly but firmly push down on the pump six times until a fine mist appears.
Ryaltris Nasal Spray dosage:
Your doctor will instruct you on how many sprays you should use and how often you should use Ryaltris. Patients typically use two sprays in each nostril two times a day.
How to use Ryaltris
First, clear your nostrils by gently blowing your nose. Next, use a finger to close one nostril while you place the nasal tip into the other nostril, aiming it slightly toward the outside of your nose. Tilt your head forward a little and quickly press down on the finger rests once to activate the pump. Gently breathe through your nose as your spray, then breathe out through your mouth.
In order to prevent the medicine from going into your throat, avoid tipping your head back right after using. Give yourself at least 15 minutes after using Ryaltris before blowing your nose.
Clean the nasal tip of the bottle with a clean dry tissue or cloth.
Ryaltris should be stored upright with the dust cap on at room temperatures between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F). Avoid freezing or refrigerating the medication.
Olopatadine hydrochloride, an antihistamine, and mometasone furoate, a corticosteroid, are the active ingredients in Ryaltris Nasal Spray.
Benzalkonium chloride, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, dibasic sodium phosphate heptahydrate, edetate disodium, hydrochloric acid, microcrystalline cellulose, polysorbate 80, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide, and water for injection are the inactive ingredients.
Avoid using Ryaltris if you have an allergy to any of the ingredients contained in the medication.
Ryaltris can cause side effects that include, but are not limited to, unpleasant taste, nosebleeds, and nasal discomfort. Immediately let your doctor know if you develop bothersome or persistent side effects.
