Ozanex is a topical cream used for the treatment of impetigo in patients 2 months of age and older.
Ozanex comes in a 1% cream.
Ozanex cream should be used as directed by your doctor. If you have any questions or concerns, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Apply a thin layer of Ozanex cream to the affected area twice daily for five days. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, nostrils, or genital areas. Your hands should be cleansed before and after application.
The active ingredient in Ozanex cream is ozenoxacin. Inactive ingredients include benzoic acid (E 210), ethylene glycol monopalmitostearate, octyldodecanol, oleoyl macrogol-6-glycerides, polyethylene glycol-6 stearate, polyethylene glycol-32 stearate, propylene glycol, purified water, and stearyl alcohol.
If you have an allergy to any ingredients contained in Ozanex, do not use Ozanex.
Side effects associated with Ozanex include itching, irritation, worsening rosacea, or worsening seborrheic dermatitis; however, these are not all of the side effects that may occur. Immediately talk to your doctor if you experience concerning side effects or side effects that persist.
