Before generics become available on the market, the generic company must prove it has the same active ingredients as the brand-name drug and works in the same way and in the same amount of time in the body.

Optixcare Eye Lubricant is a sterile, hydrating ophthalmic gel specially formulated for use in dogs and cats to relieve dryness and irritation in the eyes. This product is ideal for animals suffering from dry eye conditions, including keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS), or experiencing environmental irritants, post-surgery dryness, or age-related ocular changes. Optixcare Eye Lubricant is non-irritating, easy to apply, and suitable for frequent use under veterinary guidance.
Instill one or two drops directly onto the surface of the eye or inside the lower eyelid as recommended by a veterinarian. For ongoing support, the application may be repeated as needed, typically 2 to 4 times daily or as directed. To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of the tube to any surface, including the eye.
The formulation includes Carbomer (0.25%), Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sorbitol, and Water. The gel is preservative-free and designed to be gentle on sensitive eyes.
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to any of the product’s ingredients. Not for use in cases where a severe eye infection is present unless directed by a veterinarian.
This product is intended for veterinary ophthalmic use only. If the condition worsens or does not improve, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian. Use with caution in animals with pre-existing eye conditions or those receiving concurrent topical ocular medications. Store at room temperature and keep out of reach of children and pets.
