Before generics become available on the market, the generic company must prove it has the same active ingredients as the brand-name drug and works in the same way and in the same amount of time in the body.

MATULANE (procarbazine) is a prescription medication used to treat certain types of cancer. MATULANE is a chemotherapy drug and should only be used under the close supervision of an oncologist.
MATULANE is indicated to treat Hodgkin lymphomas but can be used off-label to treat CNS tumors, Non-Hodgkin lymphomas, and primary CNS lymphoma. It is used in combination with other medications as part of a standard regimen.
