What is a Generic Drug?

What are Lactaid Drops used for?

Lactaid drops also known as lactase enzyme drops is used to pre-treat and reduce the lactose content before utilizing.The Lactaid medicine used for dairy products such as milk, cream or any dairy liquid. This is preventing symptoms of lactose intolerance, such as cramps, diarrhea, and gas, when milk products or lactose are taken by people with lactose intolerance. Lactase can be taken before consuming lactose or it can be added to milk.

What is Lactaid milk?

Lactaid milk is the milk that contains lactase.In the other words, natural enzyme helps break down lactose into glucose and galactose that could be easily digested. If not using the Lactaid drops, there is the possibility that the lactase not digests properly. As a result that could cause:

  • Gas
  • Cramps
  • Diarrhea
  • Bloating
Note: You must pre-treat milk at least 24 hours in advance to allow the lactase to break down the lactose into simpler sugars before you drink it.

Special Precautions & Warnings:

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Not enough is known about the use of lactose during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.
