What is a Generic Drug?

Klisyri ointment comes in packets that contain 1% tirbanibulin. Each packet contains one single dose. 

The instructions that come with your Klisyri prescription should be followed.

Apply Klisyri ointment evenly to the affected area(s) on the face or scalp once daily for 5 days using one single-dose packet. The packet should be disposed of in the trash after use. 

After applying the ointment, you should wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. After applying the ointment, avoid touching the treated area for 8 hours. Avoid contact with your eyes or mouth.

Tirbanibulin is the active ingredient contained in Klisyri.

Cautions

  • Before beginning treatment with Klisyri, let your doctor know:
    • If you take any medications, including over-the-counter and prescription medications
    • If you have any allergies
    • Of any health conditions you may have
    • If you are currently pregnant or plan to become pregnant
    • If you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed
  • You should not get Klisyri ointment in your eyes as eye irritation may occur. If you accidentally get the ointment in your eyes, flush your eyes with water and seek medical attention.
  • Skin reactions at the site of application may occur with use of Klisyri.

Side Effects

  • Local skin reactions and itching and pain at the application site may be caused by Klisyri. Immediately inform your doctor if you develop concerning or persistent side effects.
