What is a Generic Drug?

A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use. Description

If you have human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) infection, your doctor may prescribe the medication Kaletra.

Kaletra is often used in combination with other antivirals to stop the replication of HIV and slow down the progression of the disease.

Directions

Kaletra comes in the strength 800/200 mg and is given either once or twice daily.

The tablets can be taken with or without food and must be swallowed whole without crushing or chewing them.

The active ingredients in Kaletra are lopinavir and ritonavir.
