Take JARDIANCE as directed by your doctor. The normal starting dose is JARDIANCE 10 mg daily but may be increased to JARDIANCE 25 mg daily in some people.
Patients with impaired kidney function may need to discontinue JARDIANCE. Your doctor should monitor your kidneys throughout treatment.

JARDIANCE causes a change in fluid status, so patients with a history of low pressure should use caution when taking the medication. Patients should not start JARDIANCE with concurrent fluid abnormalities.
JARDIANCE and other SGTL2 inhibitors have been linked to diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), a potentially life-threatening condition where the body breaks down fats leading to increased ketone bodies. DKA is a medical emergency; signs and symptoms may include: confusion, excessive thirst, fruit-scented breath, nausea and vomiting, stomach pain, and weakness.
JARDIANCE may increase the risk of urinary tract infections and genital mycotic infections.
Patients with lipid abnormalities should be monitored and treated appropriately while taking JARDIANCE.
