Each kit of Firvanq contains vancomycin hydrochloride USP, powder for oral solution, equivalent to 3.75 grams or 7.5 grams or 15.0 grams vancomycin, and grape-flavored diluent.

Shake the reconstituted Firvanq oral solution well before measuring it out. Use a measuring device to measure out the appropriate dose (in milliliters). Firvanq should be stored in the refrigerator. Discard Firvanq after 2 weeks or if it looks cloudy or contains particulates.
Vancomycin Hydrochloride is the active ingredient in Firvanq.
Talk to your doctor about your allergies. You should not take Firvanq if you are allergic to vancomycin hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients contained in Firvanq.
The most common side effects of Firvanq include nausea, upset stomach, and low potassium levels. These are not all the possible side effects. Contact your doctor immediately if you develop side effects that are troublesome or persistent.
