What is a Generic Drug?

Take Farxiga exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The normal dose is 5-10 mg by mouth once daily.

It can be taken with or without food at the same time each day.


The active ingredient and name of Farxiga generic is Dapagliflozin.

Farxiga cannot be used in people experiencing Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) and should be discontinued.

Farxiga can rarely cause a condition called euglycemic DKA in some people with uncontrolled blood sugar or those undergoing surgery. Your doctor may hold the medication during surgical procedures.
