Inactive ingredients include the following: colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, dibasic calcium phosphate, FD and C Yellow No. 6, gelatin, glycerin, lactose, and magnesium stearate. FD and C Blue No.1 and FD and Red No.3. are also contained in the Catapres 0.1 mg tablet.
You should avoid taking Catapres if you have an allergy to clonidine or to any of the medication’s other ingredients.
Some, but not all, side effects associated with Catapres include the following: dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, and sedation. If you develop persistent or concerning side effects, immediately talk to your doctor.
