What is a Generic Drug?

Description

Calquence is a prescription leukemia medication that is used to treat 3 different types of leukemia cancers in mantle cell leukemia and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, plus for small lymphocytic lymphoma treatment. Acalabrutinib belongs to the kinase inhibitor class of drugs and works to prevent the growth of cancer cells by blocking the Bruton tyrosine kinase protein. Calquence may prescribed for patients who have inadequate results from other treatment medications when reviewing and adjusting their regimen for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma treatment.

Directions

Standard dosage is one Calquence 100mg tablet taken 2x daily at 12-hour intervals, and Calquence may be taken with or without food.

Ingredients

The active ingredient in Calquence is Acalabrutinib.

Cautions

Inform your doctor of any history of heart rhythm problems, serious infections, liver problems including HBV infection, or have plans to have surgery in the near future before beginning on Calquence.

Calquence may raise excessive bleeding risks when blood thinner medications are used concurrently with this medication.

Use of proton pump inhibitor antacid medications may not be appropriate while using Calquence. Discuss this with a doctor.

Women who are able to become pregnant should use birth control while using Calquence and for at least 1 week after taking a final dose of their medication.

Interactions

Negative drug interaction risks are possible between Calquence and other Rx or OTC medications, including itraconazole and rifampin. Inform your doctor of all medications you are currently taking before getting a prescription and proceeding to buy Calquence online.

Side Effects

Calquence side effects are a possibility, and some users may have upper respiratory infections, headache, diarrhea, muscle or joint pain, or bruising.
