Terms & Conditions of Program
A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use. Before generics become available on the market, the generic company must prove it has the same active ingredients as the brand-name drug and works in the same way and in the same amount of time in the body.
The only differences between generics and their brand-name counterparts is that generics are less expensive and may look slightly different (eg. different shape or color), as trademarks laws prevent a generic from looking exactly like the brand-name drug.
Generics are less expensive because generic manufacturers don't have to invest large sums of money to develop a drug. When the brand-name patent expires, generic companies can manufacture a copy of the brand-name and sell it at a substantial discount.
Bravecto is a systemic ectoparasiticide indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations in dogs and cats. It contains fluralaner, an isoxazoline-class compound that provides long-lasting protection with a single dose. Bravecto kills adult fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) and is effective against several tick species, including Ixodes scapularis, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, and Amblyomma americanum. In dogs, Bravecto is also indicated for the treatment of Demodex and Sarcoptes mite infestations. Bravecto is available as a chewable tablet for dogs and a topical solution for both dogs and cats, offering convenient administration with up to 12 weeks of protection.

The active ingredient in all Bravecto formulations is:
Fluralaner
Dosage forms include:
Chewable tablets for dogs (112.5 mg to 1400 mg fluralaner depending on weight)

Puppies or kittens under 6 months of age or below minimum weight thresholds (e.g., 2 kg in dogs, 1.2 kg in cats), depending on the specific product formulation
Use with caution in animals with a history of seizures or neurologic disorders, as isoxazolines have been associated with adverse neurologic events such as tremors and ataxia. Bravecto has not been evaluated in breeding, pregnant, or lactating animals, and use should be based on a risk-benefit assessment by a veterinarian. Do not use topical solutions on broken or irritated skin. Avoid ingestion of the topical product by the animal or other pets through licking.
