What is a Generic Drug?

Description

Your doctor may prescribe a medication called Bezalip SR to help treat high cholesterol levels. High cholesterol has been linked with increased risk for cardiovascular events, including heart attack and stroke. These events are leading causes of death around the world.

Bezalip SR reduces levels of certain types of cholesterol that are known to contribute to heart disease. Normal cholesterol levels are associated with a lower risk of heart attack and stroke.

Bezalip SR is indicated to treat hyperlipidemia (abnormally high lipids) and hypertriglyceridemia (high triglyceride levels).

Please note that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not approved Bezalip SR for usage in the US.

Take Bezalip SR exactly as directed by your doctor. It should be taken with or without food.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but do not double up.

The standard dose of this medication is 400 mg by mouth once daily.

Cautions
