Anusol Plus Ointment should be used as directed on the product label. Carefully read the product’s package insert for additional instructions for use.
The recommended dose is to use the ointment on the affected area up to a maximum of 5 times a day.
Dosing for internal hemorrhoids: Lubricate the applicator with a small amount of ointment, attach it to the tube, insert it into the rectum and softly push down to dispense the medication. Remember to clean the applicator with soap and hot water after administration. The dose may be repeated every 4 hours as needed, and after each bowel movement, up to 5 times a day.
Keep Anusol Plus Ointment stored at temperatures that fall between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). Keep away from children.

A local anesthetic, pramoxine hydrochloride, and an astringent, zinc sulfate, are the active ingredients in Anusol Plus Ointment.
