What is a Generic Drug?

A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use. Before generics become available on the market, the generic company must prove it has the same active ingredients as the brand-name drug and works in the same way and in the same amount of time in the body.

The only differences between generics and their brand-name counterparts is that generics are less expensive and may look slightly different (eg. different shape or color), as trademarks laws prevent a generic from looking exactly like the brand-name drug.

Generics are less expensive because generic manufacturers don't have to invest large sums of money to develop a drug. When the brand-name patent expires, generic companies can manufacture a copy of the brand-name and sell it at a substantial discount.

Description

The new Annovera and Annovera generic hormonal birth control ring is a good birth control alternative for women. It is a different type of IUD (intrauterine) birth control method. This is because it’s an annual birth control ring that is especially comfortable, effective, and long-lasting.

What’s meant by long-lasting is that Annovera generic and Annovera provide a full 12 months of birth control before needing to be replaced. All that’s required of you is removing and washing it every 3 weeks of a month and then keeping it out for the 4th week. Annovera provides 97% effective birth control and you can buy Annovera online.

Directions

The Annovera generic birth control ring is easy to use. Start by cleaning it, and that involves washing the ring with mild soap and lukewarm water and then patting it dry with a clean cloth towel or paper towel. Now use your thumb and forefinger to squish the Annovera ring into a narrow oval shape.

Get into in a comfortable position to insert this annual birth control ring. Suggestions include lying down, squatting, or standing with 1 leg up on something of an appropriate height, like a toilet seat for example. Next insert the Annovera generic birth control ring as far as possible.

From there you’re set. It can remain there for 3 weeks, but no longer than that. After 3 weeks you remove this birth control ring, wash it, and then keep it out for 1 week. Then repeat, and up to one year from your first cycle with Annovera.

Ingredients

The active ingredients in Annovera generic are segesterone acetate and ethinyl estradiol.
